Jesse Schell discusses Facebook games and more (video)

J

This is an amazing video from Jesse Schell of Carnegie Mellon. Among other things, Mr Schell talks about the evolving collision of the real world and the virtual world from a gamer’s futurist vision and there is a lot in here that help you understand why Facebook games such as Farmville & Mob Wars are generating an amazing amount of revenue. It’s funny, after reading this I remembered that passive gaming used to be the number one online activity, behind pornography and email.  He also mentions a book called Authenticity and if this book is as half as good as their first book, The Experience Economy, it’s a must read. Enjoy!

  • In this great scheme of things you actually get a B- just for effort. Exactly where you actually lost everybody was first in your particulars. As as the maxim goes, the devil is in the details… And that couldn’t be more correct in this article. Having said that, let me tell you exactly what did do the job. The authoring is definitely extremely powerful which is most likely the reason why I am making the effort to opine. I do not really make it a regular habit of doing that. Next, despite the fact that I can notice the jumps in reasoning you come up with, I am not really sure of how you seem to connect your details that produce the final result. For the moment I shall subscribe to your issue but hope in the foreseeable future you connect the facts much better.
