Q

I’m a huge fan of PSKF and I’m also a member of their expert network, The Purplelist. I was asked a great question today by Scott Lachut and thought I’d share it because events and fans are some of these most exciting aspects of the emerging mobile market: Recently listened to an interview with Ticketmaster CEO Nathan Hubbard, in which he discussed the future of live events...

Anthony Bourdain’s: The Layover (video)

A

Interesting to see that the focus of Anthony Bourdain’s new show is to highlight what you should do in specific locations if you only had 24 hours there. Sounds a lot like microblogging via Twitter or Tumblr or micro-surveys via JetJaw. Either way, looking forward to the show. Enjoy!

A lot of thought went...

These are images highlighted by white dots were taken by Moby while he was touring and recording his album. The black dots mark the location of Instagram images added by his fans using the #destroyed hastag. (I’m...

Gamification by Design

G

I just finished reading a new O’Reilly book by Gabe Zichermann & Christopher Cunningham (site here) entitled Gamification by Design and I strongly encourage you – yes you – to read it. Just in case you thought that gamification has anything to do gaming, let me assure you: that it doesn’t. Some of the easiest examples of gamifaction are frequent flyer miles, badges on...
