4th anniversary of CRUCES

4

When I was a young man, I pretty much had a comment for any and every situation. Although I believed this to be one of my many strengths, it wasn’t always appreciated. (Can you believe it!??!?!!?)  So much that my father told me one day that I reminded him of a type of tea that his girlfriend drank. The tea was called Constant Comment.

For some reason this popped into my mind recently. Maybe, on a subconscious level, it was because it’s the 4th anniversary of this blog. Who knows?

After 505 posts (506 with this) and countless hours working to create valuable content, it’s interesting to look back and see how things have evolved. A blog is first and foremost a great way to focus on a subject and develop and opinion as to how things will evolve. (post = small project) At least that’s what it turned out to be for me. It has been challenging over the past couple of years to post as often as I’d like. The demands of family take precedent over most things . . . as they should.

My father, the same man that felt I had too much to say, has recommended over the last several years that I add more of my own personality into the posts, stating that my in-person delivery is “nowhere near as dry”. For people who’ve worked me with or students that have attended my class, this is somewhat of a terrifying proposition. . . I’ll see what I can do.

If you read this blog with any regularity; I thank you. If not; bite me! (How was that Dad?) I’d also like to thank my wife for putting up with my constant blog related distractions. She does a great imitation of me “blogging” and is far more patient than most.

. . . can’t believe it’s been 4 years.
